Cardboard boxes typically consist of two layers inner and outer layer. Internal layer is made of different kind of pulp, which is thinner kind of paperboard. The cardboard boxes inner layers are called medium layers. These layers have ripples and fluted patterns as they are heated at particular temperature then whetted and finally formed by wheels. Starched base is used to join the two or more medium. The cardboard boxes outer layer is called liner boards. The liner board is humidified which help in easy joining of the layers during the formation.
Now bending machines are used for folding the boxes along the mark lines made with the help of corrugates. Glue is applied to those areas of the cardboard boxes which will come together to form the box. Another machine is used for folding the glued areas of the cardboard boxes. For proper printing or writing on the outer layer of cardboard boxes, there is ink kitchen. In ink kitchen 5000 colors are systematically poured into the containers. These chemical colors are mixed so perfectly to achieve right color combination on the cardboard boxes.
